Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen (1863-1945) is Denmark's most significant female sculptors. A trailblazer who became the first female sculptor in the world commissioned to sculpt an equestrian statue of a king. AMC-N co-founded the Danish Society of Female Artists, and fought for women's right to exhibit in a world completely dominated by men.
