Art direction for Plethora issue No.13 – Poetics of Emptiness. Centred around the unique ability of paper as a medium to convey a compelling experience of emptiness and meaning, absence and presence. The special edition was launched in Kyoto, Paris and Copenhagen respectively.
Featuring original reproductions of paper works from international artists that each encapsulate the subtle presence of emptiness through manual techniques of pressing, folding, embossing and perforations along with a broad palette of specialised off-set prints.
It was an absolute privilege to be entrusted with such incredible artwork. Featured artists – Ruth Asawa, Kenya Hara, Ronan Bouroullec, Marco Rapaccini, Miho Kajioka, Frank Stella, Amanda Betz, Yoshio Ikezaki, Hélio Oiticica, Kate MccGwire, Jack Whitten, Henrik Saxgren, Josef Albers, Paolo Galgani, Hasagawa Tohaku, Henry Fox Talbot, Steven Yeung, Aleksandra Kucharska, and J.M.W. Turner.
